Setting the stage for unrivalled service – how Travel Counsellor Katie goes beyond

As a Corporate Travel Counsellor with a specialism in the music and entertainment industry, Katie King knows that delivering service that has the ‘wow factor’ is non-negotiable.

We caught up with her to find how she goes beyond for her high-profile clients and their hard-working crew.

“I work directly with artists and really get to know them”, Katie explains. “I see myself as part of their teams. I get to know their likes and dislikes, and I build great relationships with the artists’ management teams.”

Delivering a service that goes beyond

Katie prides herself on the level of care and attention to detail that she shows. “I’ve recently worked with a hugely successful artist in the UK and I arranged everything – from taking them to events and recordings, right through to sorting out the luxuries they required for their rooms and on flights. I liaised with hotels to ensure they were totally happy.

“With every booking, I always want to provide a service that goes above and beyond. I’ve even arranged for dogs to be flown out on tour to accompany their musician owners!”

Understanding the complexities of the music and entertainment industry

Having worked in the industry for a long time, Katie fully understands the intricacies that come with managing large-scale touring logistics – which is one of the many reasons why music and entertainment businesses find her service so valuable.

“There are so many moving parts and last-minute situations, and having someone available around the clock is such a massive peace of mind for clients. They know they can always drop me a WhatsApp or call our Duty Office to assist. For example, travelling with instruments can pose issues at airports, but I always call the airline ahead of time to make sure everything goes as smoothly as possible for my clients.”

Thanks to the unrivalled levels of service and support that Katie provides, she’s been asked to look after a huge stadium tour for an artist this summer as a result of a referral.

“I’ve had so much great feedback recently about the level of service I offer, which is really lovely. I’m so proud to offer something that’s so much more than booking travel.”
